New EU-High-Level Conference Series
The European Union has granted the financial means for organising a new EU-High-Level Conference Series - Euroconferences - on the general topic
Multidimensional Translation – MuTra
The first conference on the topic of
Challenges of Multidimensional Translation
was held 2-6 May 2005 in Saarbrücken, Germany
The second conference on the topic of
Audiovisual Translation Scenarios
was held 1-5 May 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark
The third conference on the topic of
LSP Translation Scenarios
will be held: 30 April - 4 May 2007 in Vienna, Austria

Conference Series
The conference series is intended to examine multiple (multilingual, multimedia, multimodal and polysemiotic) dimensions of modern translation scenarios and to address questions as to the impact of new technologies on the form, content, structure and modes of translated products.
The new series will consist of three conferences (Events A, C & D) with an intensive training course (Event B) following the initial conference.
Event A 2-6 May 2005 Saarbrücken Conference
Event B 9-21 May 2005 Saarbrücken Training Course for young researchers and PhD scholars
Event C 1-5 May 2006 Copenhagen Conference and tutorial
Event D 30/4-4/5 2007 Vienna Conference and tutorial
This new conference series is a follow-on to, and complements, the previous Euroconferences
organised by the Advanced Translation Research Center in Saarbrücken. (For more information contact info@euroconferences.info)
Registration and fees
Fees: The registration fee is 400,-- €.
This fee includes:
participation in the 5-day-conference
conference folder
book of extended abstracts
refreshments during coffee breaks
free access to conference workshops
Registration is only valid upon receipt of the conference fee.
Young researchers: The grant from the European Commission provides
for financing the participation of eligible young researchers (registration, travel and
